Forum rules

We welcome you to the eFestival of Words Virtual Book Fair. In order to made sure that all attendees enjoy the festival, we ask that everyone follow the forum rules of conduct.

*Consider this a public place and act accordingly. Attendees should use common sense when posting to the forum and participating in events. Do not type things in the forum you would not say in a public place surrounded by families with children.

*Each sub-forum of the festival has its own specific rules, however vulgarities, sexuality explicit comments, personal attacks, racial slurs, and similar derogatory comments will not be tolerated. This forum has a "three-strikes" policy. If a moderator or member of the Event Staff needs to warn you multiple times, you will be banned from the forums after the third time.

*Despite the three-strikes policy, all Event Staff have the authority to ban an attendee on the "first" strike if the action is exceptionally egregious. And no, we are not going to cite examples because the people who would be inclined to willfully engage in such behavior will use the examples to find loopholes. Again, use common sense when posting and you will be fine.

*Except in the sections of the forum where it is allowed, we ask that attendees not start discussions about politics or religion. There are other places on the internet to have these discussions. We would much rather you spend your time here talking about books.
