thank you julie for helpign me get set up! I was able to set up my avatar but cant set up signatures it says I don't have permissions/ did I break the site already

I'm not good with posting introductions because I always feel stupid. I'm glad this fair is only in a forum because my laptop sucks and I cant run video chats and stuff like that. does anyone know if the kindle fire has video with it can you use it like that? I know it has apps and you can get on the internet but can it use a webcam? mostly looking forward to the different panels some of them sound really interesting particularly the horror one and the end-of-the-world one.

You're welcome. I'm not sure what was causing the site to freeze up on you but I'm glad we got it sorted out.

Signatures are only enabled for staff, volunteers, and panelists. It is a matter of being proactive to nuetralize those folks that might try to abuse the site for spamming/stealth selling. I don't want people to create these huge signatures promoting their sites or books or whatever than reply to every thread with "lol" or "good post" just to get their signatures seen.

I hope you will have a good time on the panels. I can't do video stuff on my computer either, I live in a rural area and have satellite internet, it takes me fifteen minutes to watch a three minute video sometimes.

I was wondering why I couldn't set up a signature when my friend Karina Fabian had one. I can understand, however, that it might be annoying if you can't limit the size of the signature. I've seen some people with giant signatures that just put people off.
